Windows will eventually automatically install them and restart on its own. This however does not mean you should wait until it does this. If you see a message pop up that windows has installed new updates and needs to restart it's good practice to let it restart and click it at the end of the work day and let it run while you are away. Restarting will log you out so you don't have to worry about waiting until its done. It will simply be at the login screen when you come back the next day.
